Learn About Our Patent

MaskOptix is protected by multiple U.S. patents (US 8,454,155; US 8,770,740; US D640,733), providing assurance of authenticity and a proven, proprietary solution for divers and headset users who demand safety, precision, efficiency, and comfort in demanding environments.

The Need & Solution

MaskOptix® prescription diving glasses are built on a patented design originally developed for U.S. Navy submarine operations, where personnel needed to wear eyeglasses under life-support helmets without compromising the breathing seal. Our first MaskOptix patent was granted in 2011, and today that same engineering foundation powers a rugged, field-proven system for commercial and recreational divers.

Built For The Toughest Enviroments

Each MaskOptix frame is manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel with spring hinges for flex under load and reduced risk of permanent deformation. A rubberized cable temple wraps securely around the ear, stabilizing the frame in dynamic underwater conditions without constant readjustment. The patented geometry allows the eyewear to sit inside the mask or helmet while hugging the skull, preserving the critical face seal. A unique brow-bar construction maintains the correct lens profile regardless of head shape or facial geometry, supporting optimal optical performance and gauge readability.
